So, What Is An Elevator Speech?

Okay, fair enough. This question came up tonight after I sent around an e-mail to my Comic Mom and Writing and Editing lists tonight. Tonight, I did a seminar called "Is Your Elevator Speech Taking You to the Top?" for the San Gabriel Valley Society for Technical Communication chapter. I was very worried that people wouldn't care about the subject matter, but things proved absolutely awesome. After everybody's bath and the bed is made (a leftover from today!), I plan to write more about the elevator speech. More details soon . . .
